Outrageous sport ski visors like this were not especially unusual in the 80s but they were in the context of the fashion market. So it serves as some testament to her love affair with innovation that she created this design despite having no stake in the sportswear market.

At that time in the 70s, most of her peers were making oversized designs which are not so impressive with the benefit of hindsight. But then it's part of a designers job to have foresight and these well thought through and handsomely proportioned aviators are ideally suited to todays marketplace. Their main 70s telltale feature is the convex lenses which are glass and are unique to the technology of their time.
