Cowdogger Fantastic Vintage Sleeping Mexican Sterling Silver Brooch. Large Sombrero, Yoke with 2 Pots, Resting Laborer, 1950's

Here is a vintage brooch with the classic depiction of the Sleeping Mexican, the laborer resting while working. He has a large sombrero, with the broad yoke and two pots. I have not found this particular depiction before, and I believe it is from the late 1950's or early 1960's. The only marks are STERLING and MEXICO. Rolling c clasp for closure on the pin. This measures 1& 1/2 by 3/4. The weight is3.5 grams. Some tarnish, as shown. Great brooch!.

XL Vintage Mexico Texaco silver carved green jade Maya head brooch pin & pendant

A beautiful detailed Mexican Sombrero hat brooch. Made from Mexican silver and most likely made in the silver region of Oaxaca, Mexico. The details on the brooch are raised and it has the wording MEXICO on the crown of the hat and a rope tassel wrapped around the bottom of the crown. There is also a Mexican silver stamp on the back and it is securely attached with a hinged pin and swivel catch. There hats are traditionally worn by the Mexican Vaquero.
