The Beal Rando 8mm rope with GoldenDry treatment is a high end glacier walking rope. It weighs only 37 grams per meter so it is really lightweight and small to pack. Still it is a very safe rope and can take a real impact. Because of it's weight this rope is often used for ski-touring around glaciers. The Rando is safely to use as a single rope for snow-routes glacier travel and ski-touring but not for climbing and mountaineering.

A burly rope to handle caving and slot canyon trips. The EverFlex treatment keeps the rope handling great and the 10mm thickness adds durability and friction on rappels. This non-dynamic rope is great for rappelling or hauling. EverFlex thermal treatment stabilizes the core strands and provides consist handling. Length includes 10% margin to compensate for rope shrinkage over time. Static strength (unknotted) is 28kN. Static strength when knotted is 16kN. Sheath percentage is 41%.
